Hi, I'm Jatinder Kumar

Full-Stack Developer & Technical Writer

My Journey and Mission

Welcome to Affinity Reader. I’m Jatin, an experienced Full-Stack Developer with over 5 years of hands-on experience building scalable web applications, designing complex CI/CD pipelines, and integrating cutting-edge artificial intelligence into modern architectures.

Throughout my career, I've worked across the entire web stack. From wrestling with monolithic PHP applications and migrating them to highly performant Next.js servers, to orchestrating distributed microservices over Kubernetes in enterprise environments, I've lived through the growing pains of modern software engineering.

I started Affinity Reader because I realized a gap in technical content online. A lot of tutorials and programming blogs offer generic, textbook definitions that barely scratch the surface. When you are debugging a memory leak in a Node.js Docker container at 2 AM, a basic "Hello World" tutorial won't cut it. You need real-world problem-solving, architectural insights, and battle-tested code.

What You Will Find Here

My goal is to share my daily learnings, engineering disasters, and successful refactors directly with you. Here, I write high-quality, long-form technical guides focusing on:

  • AI Prompt Engineering: Moving beyond simple chat queries to building robust Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) applications and utilizing the OpenAI API in production.
  • DevOps & Orchestration: Demystifying tools like GitHub Actions, Docker, and Kubernetes by showing you the exact YAML configurations and structural blueprints I use.
  • Full-Stack Modernization: Step-by-step guides on upgrading legacy codebases to React, Next.js, and TypeScript, focusing on strict typing and test-driven development.

Every article I publish aims to move you past the "beginner plateau" and into advanced, production-ready engineering. I don't just tell you how a technology works; I show you how it breaks and exactly how I fixed it.

Get in Touch

I love connecting with other developers. Whether you are stuck on a nasty bug, have a question about one of my tutorials, or want to discuss a potential collaboration, my inbox is always open.
